Nina’s Olivar Wins Fifth Straight NYIOOC Distinction
Spanish producer Nina’s Olivar has won its fifth-straight award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
It is a tremendously huge recognition to win an award at the NYIOOC. This is the sweet fruit for our labor. We are so grateful for this recognition.

Based in Andalusia, the world's largest olive oil-producing region, the company earned a Silver Award for its Almeria Gold brand, an organic medium blend. Nina’s Olivar previously won Silver Awards in 2019, 2021 and 2022, and a Gold Award in 2020.
"It is a tremendously huge recognition to win an award at the NYIOOC," owner Nina Khanna said. "This is the sweet fruit for our labor. We are so grateful for this recognition."
For the team at Nina's Olivar, this year's win is even more significant after Khanna struggled to overcome the impacts of Andalusia's severe drought.
"Water was the single ingredient that we suffered for last year as the heat was intense and rainfall during the growing phase of the olives was very low," Khanna said.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
