Situated in olive oil-soaked Tuscany, the producer earned its second-consecutive NYIOOC accolade for its organic medium blend.
"This award, for the second time in the row, is a great gratification for all of us and our hard and meticulous work," said Armando Manni, the company's chief executive.
In the 2021/22 crop year, Manni Oil produced 6,000 liters of Toscana PGI extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
Manni added that the previous crop year was alright in terms of quantity, but yielded excellent quality.
"The season was ok," he said. "No flies and a very high percentage of polyphenols. They give our oil an intense flavor and a very long shelf life."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
