Manni Oil Wins Gold in World Competition Debut
Italian producer Manni Oil has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
It's a great honor to get the Gold Award at the NYIOOC on the first time we submitted our oil. It is an incredible push to do better to produce an extra virgin olive oil that is good, healthy and, most importantly, stable for years in its extra virginity. This is our final goal in terms of production.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 10,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil in Tuscany using traditional methods. Manni Oil earned the Gold Award for its organic medium blend.
"It's a great honor to get the Gold Award at the NYIOOC on the first time we submitted our oil," owner Armando Manni said. "It is an incredible push to do better to produce an extra virgin olive oil that is good, healthy and, most importantly, stable for years in its extra virginity. This is our final goal in terms of production."
For the producers behind Manni Oil, their first-ever Gold Award at the NYIOOC comes as the perfect end to one of the best harvests in recent memory in Tuscany.
"Having produced oil in our orchards in southern Tuscany since 2001, we can say that the 2020 harvest was one of the best of the last 15 years, especially in our area," Manni said. "We produced our best oil ever in our brand new olive mill, the first in the world to work in a circular economy with zero waste. Complete sustainability, for us, is a must."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
