The United Kingdom-based importer earned a Silver Award for a medium-intensity organic Picual imported from its olive growing partners in Andalusia, Spain.
"Another amazing award from one of the most prestigious olive oil competitions in the world," owner Daly Hamdi said. "It’s always a great feeling to win at the NYIOOC."
Since 2017, Zeet has won three awards at the World Competition, including a Silver Award in 2022 for a Sicily-sourced Tonda Iblea and a Gold Award in 2017.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Zeet produced 10,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil from its groves in Tunisia. Hamdi cited water, production costs and glass bottle prices as the main challenges he faced during the harvest.
