The Tuscan company was awarded for an organic medium-intensity Maurino monovarietal and an organic medium blend.
"We are very proud to once again win in this prestigious competition," said owner Donata Origo. Both brands previously earned Gold Awards at the 2021 edition of the World Competition.
In the 2023/24 crop year, Chiarentana di Donata Origo produced 2,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"We experienced an attack by the olive fruit fly and serious drought, but the harvest was saved by a miraculous wind and rain storm that blew away the olives affected by the fly and swelled up the shriveled olives, just in time for them to be picked and pressed."
