Olea B.B. Achieves 4th Straight World Competition Gold
Olea B.B. from Croatia has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
Winning this award was our goal. We are very happy to have achieved it and are looking forward to our next challenge.
Bosiljka Belić, owner
The Istrian producer earned its fourth consecutive World Competition accolade for its Oleum Viride Belić Frantoio brand, a medium-intensity Frantoio.
"Winning this award was our goal," said owner Bosiljka Belić. "We are very happy to have achieved it and are looking forward to our next challenge."
In the 2023/24 crop year, Olea B.B. produced 10,800 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"Every year's harvest is challenging in a different way," Belić said. "This year, it was all about lack of an adequate labor force in our olive grove and heavy rain that caused a lot of problems for us by the end of October and beginning of November."
"Nevertheless, that didn't stop us from giving our best, and now we can enjoy the results of our hard work," he added.
