The Sicilian producer earned a Gold Award for a medium blend and a Silver Award for its Natalia’s Selection brand, a medium Nocellara del Belice.
"We feel honored," owner Natalia Ravidà said. "The awards are a confirmation of our commitment to quality and positioning of our products on the world market."
Since 2016, the company has won seven awards across both its brands from the World Competition.
In the 2022/23 crop year, the company produced 30,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. Ravidà said every harvest comes with its own unique challenges, and this one was no exception.
"Every year is a challenge," she confirmed. "It is the world of agriculture. This harvest, rising energy prices have been the main challenge."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
