The Campanian producer earned a Gold Award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Oleum San Giorgio brand, a medium-intensity Ortice.
"To receive a Gold Award at the prestigious NYIOOC competition for the third consecutive year is very important to us," owner Barbara Bibbò said.
"This achievement gives us the strength to continue working every day with passion and dedication," she added.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Masseria dei Nunzi produced 3,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"This production campaign has been very challenging: adverse weather conditions have created a number of difficulties, but our company, through unity and commitment, has managed to move forward on our path," Bibbò said.
Our main goal is to offer the consumer a genuine product, paying close attention to the land and those who work it," she added.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
