Mandranova Wins Gold Award for Nocellara del Belice
Mandranova from Italy has been awarded at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
The Sicilian producer earned a Gold Award for a medium Nocellara del Belice. Since 2015, Mandranova has earned eight Gold Awards and two Silver Awards at the competition.
Chief executive Giuseppe Di Vicenzo said he was "very happy and very proud" to receive his ninth NYIOOC accolade.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Mandranova produced 45,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. Di Vincenzo said finding workers for the harvest was his most significant challenge this season.
