The Western Anatolian producer earned a Silver Award for its Saittai brand, a medium Trilye.
"Recognition in the NYIOOC opens the door to a new continent, and we are very excited to meet the aficionados across the Atlantic," owner Zeynep Belger said.
"Premium olive oil is the best natural superfood, and when it is produced in a responsible way, putting the planet and people at the center, it somehow tastes even more amazing," she added.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Zayto produced 4,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
Despite the benevolent climate helping to fuel a record year for Turkish producers, Belger said climate change would continue to be one of the biggest challenges for producers.
"Drought and intense heat are our new reality," she said. "As producers, we are at the center of the debate on sustainable food systems."
"The climate is impacting the quality and quantity of olives and olive oil," Belger added. "We are custodians of this precious food source, and we are dedicated to making it last and sharing it with the world."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
