The Brataševec family estate earned its fourth-consecutive World Competition award for an organic medium-intensity Bianchera.
"Winning again at the NYIOOC is a great achievement that motivates us to strive for perfection," said owner Timon Brataševec.
He added that this year's award was especially gratifying because unusually wet conditions allowed pests to multiply.
"This year was challenging as we had a lot of rain, and with the rain came the olive fruit fly," Brataševec confirmed.
