Uljara Vodnjan Wins 2 Awards in New York
Uljara Vodnjan from Croatia has won two awards at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
Winning these awards is one more confirmation that we are doing our job well, as usual.

The Istrian producer earned the Gold Awards for its medium-intensity blends, Salvela Aurum and Punta Cissana.
"Winning these awards is one more confirmation that we are doing our job well, as usual," product technologist Edi Druzetic said.
Uljara Vodnjan has been a serial winner at the NYIOOC since earning its first award in 2016. Since then, the company has won 12 Gold Awards for three brands and a Silver Award.
In the 2022/23 crop year, the company used traditional methods to produce 30,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil. "Production this year was quite good, with poor rains during the summer," Druzetic said.
"Generally, challenges in the future will be how to harmonize the weakly permitted pesticides with the changed circumstances of climatic conditions for the successful protection against diseases and pests," he added.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
