Agroprodukt Victorious in 4th Straight NYIOOC
Croatian producer Agroprodukt has won two Gold Awards at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
Winning is a very good feeling and confirms that we are doing our work well. It brings personal satisfaction and a good opportunity for promoting the company and expanding sales of our products.

The company received awards for its Salvela Aurum brand, a robust blend, and its Punta Cissana brand, a medium blend produced by Uljara Vodnjan. Overall, the company has won eight awards at the NYIOOC.
"Winning is a very good feeling and confirms that we are doing our work well," production technician Edi Druzetic said. "It brings personal satisfaction and a good opportunity for promoting the company and expanding sales of our products."
In the 2019/20 season, Agroprodukt produced 35,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using machine methods.
However, the harvest was not easy. Druzetic said that dealing with the climate was particularly challenging.
"Last season's production was quite demanding," he said. "There were peculiarly high temperatures during flowering and fertilization and it rained during the harvest."
"However, monitoring for pests went well and there was not any damage," Druzetic added. "On the contrary, the harvest was excellent, both in terms of quantity and quality."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
