Aos Shodoshima
Aos Shodoshima is produced from four types of olives raised on our land in Shodoshima, Japan. These olive trees are some of the first ones to be commercially cultivated in Japan successfully. We make our oil from early harvested and first-pressed olives for the freshest taste possible.
Where to Find I grow olives on Shodoshima Island – the birthplace of Japanese olive growing and the most suitable place for cultivation – using compost made from olive branch prunings and the water extracted from the olive oil pomace. The olives are harvested according to the variety and ripeness of the fruit and are not heated or pressurized to produce high-quality olive oil.
