X 37 Grados Norte S.L. from Spain has won a Gold Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
The company produces extra virgin olive oil in Andalusia (Spain) from Picuda olives using traditional harvesting methods.
This award is super important for the company. Our oil is based in traditional farm and centennial / millennial trees, and a premium quality-based brand. That is why NYIOOC make us a reference for the market purchasers.
Povedano Gámiz María Luisa said about the award
The company managed to produce one of the world's best olive oils despite the persistent drought, that affected many regions throughout Europe this year.
"This season, harvest in Priego de Córdoba was challenging due to the extremely dry conditions of the whole year," said the owner, Povedano Gámiz María Luisa. "So the main goal was finding the best moment of the fruits between those unexpected hard weather conditions."
