The company produces extra virgin olive oil in California from Koroneiki and Arbequina olives using machine methods. The Groves on 41 earned the Gold Award for its medium blend.
It is the second consecutive Gold Award the California producers have won for the blend and their fourth recognition at the competition.
Upon hearing news of the award, co-owners Karen and Jennifer Tallent said they were "elated."
"We are a small producer emphasizing the agritourism experience and the fresh California twist to a delightful, ancient product, focusing on the breadth of use in an everyday healthy diet," they added.
The award was extra gratifying for the pair, after a challenging 2020/21 crop year that saw a "meager yield."
