The oils that won NYIOOC World were Terra Creta Grand Cru, a medium Koroneiki, and Terra Creta Organic, an organic medium Koroneiki.
After learning of the wins, the company's Marketing Manager noted that the season had been an uphill struggle against adverse weather patterns.
"Together with the farmers we collaborate; we always aim for extraordinary quality. Last year, due to the weather conditions, the challenge was even greater. But with very good work on the olive fields for almost 12 months, extreme care during harvesting, and very detailed work in our olive mill, we managed to produce EVOO of excellent quality," said Marketing Manager Emmanouil Karpadakis.
The company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Crete and Chania Kritis from Koroneiki olives using traditional methods.
