San Bartolomeo Wins Gold for Organic Blend at 2021 NYIOOC
Italian producer San Bartolomeo has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 5,000 tons of organic extra virgin olive oil in Lazio from Frantoio, Leccino and Canino olives using traditional methods.
Despite the climatic and Covid-19-related challenges faced by the producer in 2020, San Bartolomeo earned the Gold Award for its organic medium blend.
"Winning at the NYIOOC is the best sensation in my life," Luca María Centaro said. "It was a very challenging year, but we made it through."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
