In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 6,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil in Sicily using traditional methods. Evo Sicily earned the Silver Award for its Embrace brand, a medium Nocellara del Belice.
"Winning this award was a beautiful surprise," co-CEOs Carmen Bonafante and Giusy Gambini said. "We are a young company in the second year of our production. This Silver Award makes us very happy and gives us the strength to do better and better."
The duo added that every harvest season comes along with its own challenges and 2020 was no different.
"Every year is always a challenge," Bonafante and Gambini said. "With passion, care and dedication, we work in the olive grove, trying to study and analyze the climatic conditions and the health of the plants, preventing situations that would not allow us to obtain a healthy and genuine product."
