Situated in Portugal's northern Trás-os-Montes region, the company earned its seventh World Competition accolade for its flagship organic, delicate Cobrançosa.
"Winning at the NYIOOC gives us a deep sense of pride and gratitude, standing as a testament to our relentless dedication," said co-owner Julio Alves.
"We are committed to remaining active participants in this competition, as it is where our brand first found its voice, underscoring our enduring commitment to delivering excellence and driving innovation in the olive oil world," he added.
While Quinta dos Olmais enjoyed a production rebound in the 2023/24 crop year, Alves said the company faced several climate-related hurdles to produce its award-winning extra virgin olive oil.
"This was the wettest harvest yet, with rain from the outset till the very end," Alves said. "Despite the constant downpour, we successfully completed our work just before the fields turned into impassable mud pits."
"Fortunately, we've rebounded from the challenges of the previous season, returning to our usual numbers with exceptional quality and profile intact," he added.
