The Istrian producer earned its fifth straight World Competition accolade for a medium-intensity blend.
"As a family-owned olive grove, we are honored to receive our fifth consecutive Gold Award from the NYIOOC," said owner Aurora Volarević.
"For the Turinela family, this award is a testament to our hard work and dedication to quality above all else," she added. "For our customers, it reassures them of the quality of olive oil they have grown to love and enjoy."
In the 2023/24 crop year, OPG Turinela produced 850 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"The turbulent summer at the Turinela olive fields saw intense rain and even hail," Volarević said. "The rapid weather changes shocked our olive trees, so we continuously checked for signs of weariness."
"Through daily efforts and care, we maintained excellent-quality olives, which are essential for the signature Turinela flavor," she added.
