Neolea Wins Gold at World Competition
Greek producer Neolea has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
Even though we have won the award in the past, it's always special to get this type of recognition for all the hard work, especially from the most famous competition in the industry.

The Kalamata-based company earned the World Competition recognition for a medium-intensity Koroneiki, which previously earned a Silver Award in 2017 and Gold Awards in 2020 and 2021.
"Winning this award is an amazing milestone for our brand, company and partners," owner Bart Jan Manten said. "Even though we have won the award in the past, it's always special to get this type of recognition for all the hard work, especially from the most famous competition in the industry."
Like many other producers in Greece, Neolea overcame plenty of challenges during the 2023/24 crop year to produce its award-winning extra virgin olive oil.
"It's no surprise that this harvest period was one of the most challenging we've ever experienced," Jan Manten said. "The harvest volumes are lower than we hoped for, but after all, we are very satisfied with the quality and the fact that we have enough extra virgin olive oil to share with our customers."
