The company earned its sixth NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition award for its Green Diamond Superior brand, a delicate Koroneiki.
"Since 2021, we have participated in the competition and won various awards," owner Eleftheria Kasfiki said. "We are delighted once again with this new award. It recognizes our company and our products and means that despite the harvest difficulties, we can offer a high-quality product."
She added that the award proves the company effectively avoided mineral oil saturated (Mosh) and aromatic hydrocarbon (Moah) contamination throughout the harvest.
"One of the main challenges we face in our areas is the Mosh and Moah, which has various input pathways in all the stages of olive oil production," Kasfiki said.
"To avoid this problem, we follow all the recommended good practices in all stages, from the harvest to the bottle, and we do all the analysis for a high-quality product," she added.
