"It's always gratifying to have your hard work acknowledged, especially when you’re competing with the best oil producers across the Northern Hemisphere," co-owner Josh Mardigian said.
Nuvo Olive Oil has a long history of success at the NYIOOC. Since 2018, the producer has earned 12 awards.
Despite the consistent success, Mardigian said he faced significant challenges during the 2022/23 crop year.
"The weather is always unpredictable, and we haven’t had the best of luck the last couple of years, especially in the weeks leading up to harvest," he said.
