Ninth Straight NYIOOC Award for Oleocampo’s Picual
Oleocampo from Spain has won its ninth-consecutive award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
As a cooperative, for our farmer members, it is an important achievement and recognition every year of demonstrating the know-how to produce extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality.

The Andalusian producer earned a fifth-straight Gold Award for its Premium brand, a medium Picual. Oleocampo previously earned Gold Awards at the NYIOOC in 2015 and 2016 and Silver Awards in 2017 and 2018.
"As a cooperative, for our farmer members, it is an important achievement and recognition every year of demonstrating the know-how to produce extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality," marketing manager Javier Martos said.
In the 2022/23 crop year, Oleocampo produced 40,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. "This year has been very hard due to the drought that the countryside is suffering," Martos said.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
