Located in olive oil-soaked Terra di Bari, Puglia, the company earned the awards for a pair of medium-intensity blends: the Peragineto and Gianmorulo brands.
"Winning these awards from the NYIOOC is very important for us to sell our extra virgin olive oils in Italy and abroad," said owner Benedetta Desantis. The company was previously awarded for its La Pizzicocca and Peragineto brands in 2022.
In the 2023/24 crop year, Le Due Benedette produced 4,750 liters of extra virgin olive oil from Coratina and Ogliarola olives using traditional methods.
"Last year, it rained abundantly, and the olive fruit fly didn't harm the trees," Desantis said. "These were the best conditions for a good harvest."
