This is a remarkable achievement. With this prize I am energized, full of pride and ready to work even harder

The Istrian company earned a Gold Award for its eponymous brand, a medium-intensity Buza.
"This is a remarkable achievement," said owner Boris Pogacnik. "With this prize, I am energized, full of pride and ready to work even harder."
In the 2023/24 crop year, In Volo produced 350 liters of extra virgin olive oil from its 250-tree grove using traditional methods.
"Summer was arid, and we had a lot of rain just before the harvest," Pogacnik said. "I was worried about olive fruit fly infestations, but for some reason, in my grove, this didn't happen. I tend to grow my olives without chemicals, so all in all, this year was lucky for me."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's preeminent olive oil quality contest. Its annual list of award winners is the authoritative guide to the world's best olive oils and the dedicated producers who craft them.
