KeremZait from Israel has won three awards at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.

We are very proud to take part in the NYIOOC, and we are very proud of the results.

Situated in the southern Hula Valley, the company earned three Gold Awards for a medium-intensity blend of Coratina, a medium Moresca and medium Picholine.

"We are very proud to take part in the NYIOOC, and we are very proud of the results," co-owner Nimrod Azulay said. Last year, the company earned two Gold Awards at the competition.

In the 2022/23 crop year, KeremZait enjoyed ideal conditions for a bumper harvest that yielded 12 tons of extra virgin olive oil.

"Due to the cold winter we had in northern Israel, we had a large crop, which led to a longer harvesting season," Azulay said.

Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.

The complete list of winners can be viewed in the Official Guide to the World's Best Olive Oils.
