Goya Wins 4 Awards at World Competition
Spanish and Latin food producer Goya En España has earned four awards at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
These awards reinforce Goya's commitment to promote the quality and culture of extra virgin olive oil in the U.S. market.

Based in Andalusia, the company earned three Gold Awards for its Goya Organic, an organic robust blend, Goya Único, a robust blend, and Goya Robusto, a delicate blend. Goya En España also earned a Silver Award for a medium blend.
"These awards reinforce Goya's commitment to promoting the quality and culture of extra virgin olive oil in the U.S. market," said Antonio Carrasco, the company's general manager.
"Every day, the quality of our extra virgin olive oils is more recognized by consumers (awarded with more than 200 international recognitions), and that tendency drives us to maintain a privileged position and to continue working for excellence," he added.
Since 1974, Goya en España has produced extra virgin olive oil in southern Spain from Arbequina, Leccino, Picual and Hojiblanca olives. Carrasco attributed the company's sustained success to setting and meeting the highest quality standards for itself.
"Goya En España bottles and exports its extra virgin olive oils since 1974, following the most strict safety certifications," he said. "We hold the highest levels of quality certifications in food safety and environmental management."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
