When you are recognized for your and your teams' hard work it is always special. Winning in New York makes it that much more special.

The Central California producer earned three Gold Awards for its Enzo Organic Delicate brand, an organic medium Arbequina, Enzo Organic Medium brand, an organic medium Arbosana, and its Enzo Organic Bold brand, an organic medium Koroneiki.
"When you are recognized for your and your teams' hard work, it is always special," owner Vincent Ricchiuti said. "Winning in New York makes it that much more special. The NYIOOC is the best of the best from around the world, and having not one but all three of our varietals win gold is the most rewarding."
Since 2018, Enzo Olive Oil Company has earned 14 awards at the world's largest olive oil quality competition.
Ricchiuti said the company faced a range of challenges to arrive at this point related mostly to erratic climate conditions experienced last year.
"Every year, we face different challenges," he said. "This year, the challenge was to beat the weather. With the California winter and rain season quickly approaching, we had to harvest and mill around the clock to ensure we could finish the harvest without the damage of frost and too much rain that we couldn't harvest."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year's best extra virgin olive oils.
