Di Molfetta Pantaleo Awarded Again for Coratina
Italian producer Di Molfetta Pantaleo has won its second consecutive award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
We love our land; we cultivate the olives directly on our terrain, we produce all products that tell our story and that of our Puglia. We are very proud of this result.
Lucia Di Molfetta, marketing manager
The Apulian company earned a Gold Award for its Di Molfetta Frantoiani brand. The medium Coratina also earned a Gold Award in 2022.
"We love our land; we cultivate the olives directly on our terrain, we produce all products that tell our story and that of our Puglia," marketing manager Lucia Di Molfetta said. "We are very proud of this result."
The award is especially gratifying after another challenging harvest, though this has not dampened the company's optimism about the future.
"The strong link with tradition is what led us to continue along this path," Di Molfetta said. "Today, producing 100-percent Apulian artisanal extra virgin olive oil is a challenge that projects us into a better future, where everyone will finally recognize the extraordinary nature of this food."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
