The Apulian producer earned two Gold Awards for an organic medium Coratina and medium-intensity Ogliarola Garganica.
"This award is such an incredible honor," owner Diana Maiola said. "I have been on a journey to find extraordinary olive oil from the land of my ancestors, my beloved Puglia."
"The dream of capturing the taste and aroma I've loved since a child is now a reality," she added. "This recognition reinforces everything that Domus Pacis (house of peace) believes in – health, quality and peace."
In the 2022/23 crop year, Domus Pacis used traditional methods to produce 1,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil.
Maiola said the harvest was lower than expected and that she faced additional challenges due to rising production costs.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
