Bläuel Wins Gold at World Competition
Bläuel Greek Organic Products has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
We're very proud of this award. It's an important, prestigious acknowledgment of our hard work for keeping our quality standards always at the highest possible level.
Silvia Lazzari, marketing manager
In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 1 million liters of organic extra virgin olive oil in Lakonia from Koroneiki olives using traditional methods.
Bläuel Greek Organic Products earned the Gold Award for its Mani Organic brand, a medium Koroneiki. The company previously earned a Silver Award for the Mani brand at the 2020 edition of the competition.
"We're very proud of this award," said Silvia Lazzari, the company's marketing manager. "It's an important, prestigious acknowledgment of our hard work for keeping our quality standards always at the highest possible level."
She added that good weather conditions in the south Peloponnese peninsula helped contribute to this year's outstanding quality.
"In Greece the harvest was very good this year, especially in the areas we source from," Lazzari said. "Therefore, nature and the weather contributed a lot to this success."
