BioOrto Awarded for Peranzana Monocultivar
Organic producer BioOrto has won a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
2019 was a hard year for olivicolture, but we take care of our fields and trees first, and then we continue a good job in our mill. Thanks to our efforts we got a great EVOO.
Mirko Conte, Marketing Manager, BioOrto
The Italian company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Puglia from Peranzana olives using traditional methods.
The 2019/2020 season saw significant challenges, the company's marketing manager said after receiving news of the award.
"2019 was a hard year for olivicolture, but we take care of our fields and trees first, and then we continue a good job in our mill. Thanks to our efforts we got a great EVOO," Mirko Conte said.
BioOrto won the Gold Award for its namesake brand, an organic medium Peranzana.
"We are very happy for this result, we love our job and we respect the nature and our organic fields," Conte said.
