The Lazio-based producer earned a second consecutive World Competition award for its flagship medium-intensity Itrana.
"The award was particularly welcome this year due to the difficult harvest," said owner Antonio Zangrilli.
"The highly prestigious NYIOOC Gold Award is particularly appreciated by our selective customers," he added. "It is the confirmation and recognition of both our good work and the mill that pressed our olives."
In the 2023/24 crop year, Zangrilli produced 3,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.
"It was a difficult year for our trees, with harmful rain during flowering and then a prolonged drought," Zangrilli said. "Our commitment to implement good agricultural practices to support our trees worked."
"The unpredictability of the seasons puts a strain on olive production, but our work is aimed at the health of the trees," he added.
