Xenios Celebrate 3rd Straight NYIOOC Award for Organic Koroneiki
Xenios from Greece has won a Gold Award at the 2024 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
We feel great about constantly winning Gold Awards for our olive oils. We know what it takes and as far as effort is concerned, we will keep doing our best.
Nikos Katsos, CEO
Situated in Lakonia on the Peloponnese peninsula, the producer earned its third consecutive World Competition award for its 8K Greek Olive Oils brand, an organic medium-intensity Koroneiki.
"We feel great about constantly winning Gold Awards for our olive oils," chief executive Nikos Katsos said. "We know what it takes, and as far as effort is concerned, we will keep doing our best."
This year's award was especially gratifying after an already challenging harvest season was further complicated by extreme weather.
"Weather conditions are making our work harder every year," Katsos said. "Heat combined with humidity and lack of rain is a terrible mix for olive cultivation."
