The California producer earned its debut award at the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest for a medium-intensity Manzanillo.
"It's an amazing feeling to win Gold in this prestigious competition," said owner Andrew Crain. "Producing healthy, local, and award-winning EVOO for our community gives our family an immense sense of pride."
"Winning in a world competition validates our hard work, dedication, and commitment to the craft," he added. "This will also position us well for wholesale opportunities."
While most of the Golden State experienced plenty of rain, Crain said this year's award was especially gratifying after the exceptionally warm and dry season in Southern California.
The company produces its extra virgin olive oil from more than 800 trees in the Ramona Valley, northeast of San Diego.
