4 years agoBy Masha Richart

Mediteranski Okusi has won its a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest for its O 17, a medium blend.

"This year’s harvest was successful. We had only minor issues with Leccino tree because the harvest of this sort was a bit weak," said company owner Slađana Radinović, upon hearing news of the award.

The company produced 2,000 liters from 400 trees using traditional methods this year.

"We are proud of [the award]. It means a lot to my brand," Radinović said.

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
