Acropolis Organics Extends NYIOOC Win Streak
Acropolis Organics, a Greek-Canadian company, has won a Gold Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
Acropolis Organics, which has imported its Greek olive oils to the Toronto metro area since 2004, earned its second consecutive NYIOOC award for a delicate Koroneiki.
"We are so honored and grateful to win this prestigious award," owner Panagiotis Tsiriotakis said. "We worked even harder during this harvest to bring you our liquid gold."
He attributed the company's success to its commitment to organic and chemical-free production and vertical integration.
"We oversee every aspect of olive oil production – from farming to milling to bottling and exports to ensure they meet our standards," Tsiriotakis said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
