Aceites Mondron Awarded Extends Winning Streak
Spanish producer Aceites Mondron has won a sixth-straight award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
It is a satisfaction and pride to have been able to obtain this award since it is a recognition of the effort made by the entire team that makes up Aceites Mondron.

The Andalusian cooperative, comprising 450 members, earned a Silver Award for its Único de Mondrón brand, a medium Verdial.
"It is a satisfaction and pride to have been able to obtain this award since it is a recognition of the effort made by the entire team that makes up Aceites Mondron," marketing manager Yolanda Morales said.
In the 2022/23 crop year, the cooperative produced 20,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods. Morales said this harvest figure was unusually small.
"This year, there has been a very small harvest due to the scarcity of rainwater, and harvesting has been very difficult, although the quality has remained excellent," she said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
