Oli de Santanyi Wins Industry’s Highest Award for Organic Blend
Spanish producer Oli de Santanyi has won its second award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition.
We are proud to be winners in the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest. It motivates us to continue to produce one of the world's finest extra virgin olive oils and to try to improve every year.

The Balearic Islands-based producer earned a Gold Award for its organic medium blend of Arbequina, Picual and Empeltre olives. The brand previously earned a Gold Award in 2020.
"We are proud to be winners in the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest," owner Dirk Müller-Busch said.
"It motivates us to continue to produce one of the world's finest extra virgin olive oils and to try to improve every year," he added. "Since 2016, our company has earned 10 gold medals for its organic olive oil. This success is a great confirmation of our daily work."
Oli de Santanyi's success comes after a challenging season, where unusually hot and dry weather on the Mediterranean islands complicated the harvest.
"The biggest challenge was the severe drought throughout the year and the high temperatures during the harvest," he said.
"We prefer the early harvest and start at the end of September because this is an essential factor for our quality," Müller-Busch added. "This year, we had to cool the olives down immediately after harvesting by hand and before processing in our mill."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
