Z.O. Červar Wins Gold With Bianchera at 2021 NYIOOC
Croatian producer Z.O. Červar has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
After last year’s Gold Award for our Coratina oil, this is an additional confirmation that every new season positions us among the world's top manufacturers of extra virgin olive oils.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 5,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil in Istria using traditional methods. Z.O. Červar earned the Gold Award for a medium Bianchera.
"After last year’s Gold Award for our Coratina oil, this is an additional confirmation that every new season positions us among the world's top manufacturers of extra virgin olive oils," Deni Červar, the company's marketing manager, said.
For the producers behind Z.O. Červar, this year's award is especially gratifying after difficult climatic conditions complicated the 2020 harvest.
"Last year was very challenging because nature sets its own rules and gave us changing weather conditions to which we had to adapt," Červar said. "However, this gave us even more motivation to achieve top quality and the Gold Award for our Bianchera extra virgin olive oil is proof that we succeeded."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
