Ersi Isaakidou, CEO

Located in Lakonia, on the southeastern tip of the Peloponnese peninsula, the company earned its first award in New York for its 8K Greek Olive Oils brand, an organic medium Athinolia.

"This acknowledgement gives us strength to maintain our high standards in all aspects of the business," said Ersi Isaakidou, the company's chief executive.

In the 2021/22 crop year, the company produced between 5,000 and 7,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil using traditional methods.

"Everything went smoothly," Isaakidou said, adding that "harvesting olives and producing olive oil mean a beautiful and creative life."

The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
