The producer earned a Silver Award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for a medium blend. The same brand was also awarded last year.
"Winning this award is proof of the excellent work we are doing," owner Stevo Davidović said. "Last year was our first appearance at NYIOOC when we won a Gold Award."
"This year, we won a Silver Award, which proves that we continue to produce one of the best olive oils at a global level," he added. "I hope that we will continue producing our extra virgin olive oil at the highest level in the years to come."
In the 2022/23 crop year, Davidović produced 1,500 liters of extra virgin olive oil. He said drought was his most significant challenge in producing award-winning olive oil.
"The drought was severe, but we managed to have a successful harvest," he said. "We have put great effort and personal passion in harvesting the olives and producing top quality olive oil once more."
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
