The Lazio-based producer earned two Gold Awards for its Gold Organic, a medium-intensity blend, and organic medium Caninese.
"It's always a great pleasure to be confirmed by the NYIOOC with two Gold Awards for our Tamia Caninese and Tamia Gold Organic," chief executive Pietro Re said.
"Thanks to these awards, we strengthen our brand position in the United States and gain more recognition in the eyes of international importers and customers," he added.
The company has become a familiar sight among NYIOOC winners, having earned 17 awards at the competition since 2015.
Re said that organic olive farmers face complex challenges each harvest to produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil, and last year was no exception.
"As we are an organic farm, every harvest we face challenges due also to climatic conditions," he said. "This year, for example, there was a severe drought."
"Our strategy is to pay attention to the entire growing process; in this way, we can control, prevent and intervene to guarantee the olives arrive at the mill in the best condition," he added.
Held each spring in New York, the NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
