In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 3,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil in Duoro from Verdeal, Madural and Negrinha de Freixo olives using traditional methods. Segredos Do Côa earned the Gold Award for its organic delicate blend for a fourth consecutive year.
"We are very happy with the award," owner Aníbal Soares said. "This will improve sales and marketing, in general."
He added that the award is especially satisfying after a tough harvest further complicated by the Covid-19 pandemic.
