Côa Premium Organic Wins Gold Again
Segredos Do Côa has won a Gold Award at the 2020 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition for its Côa Premium Organic, an organic medium-intensity blend.
Being the third consecutive year winning a Gold Award with my Organic Premium, I feel quite proud. It is rewarding to be recognized among the best extra virgin olive oil producers in the world.

The Portuguese company produced 3,000 liters organic extra virgin olive oil from Verdeal, Madural and Negrinha de Freixo olives in the 2019/20 season, using traditional methods.
"Being the third consecutive year winning a Gold Award with my Organic Premium, I feel quite proud," owner Aníbal Soares said. "It is rewarding to be recognized among the best extra virgin olive oil producers in the world."
He added that in spite of the success, his team had to race against the weather in order to complete the early harvest before the winter rains arrived.
"The most difficult part of 2019 was to work very quickly and complete the harvest as earlier as possible, in order to avoid the approaching rainy days," Soares said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
