Ruggiero Mario’s Coratina Awarded Gold
Ruggiero Mario from Italy has won a Gold Award at the 2022 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
The company produces organic extra virgin olive oil in Puglia (Italy) from Coratina olives using traditional methods.
The 2021/2022 season was marked by significant challenges, the company's Owner said after receiving news of the award.
This award is very important. The People should be helped to understand the difference between an excellent oil and a less excellent one. But this difference also affects the cost having different and organic processing and production techniques.

Ruggiero Mario won a Gold Award for its Federicus II, an organic robust Coratina.
Upon hearing news of the achievement, Mario Ruggiero called winning a Gold Award at the NYIOOC a "personal satisfaction that reciprocates the hard work done."
"I hope and think that this win should bear fruit," he added, "and since I consider it serious, it will certainly have positive reflections in terms of sales."
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest and its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
