Prema Bros. from Australia has won a Silver Award at the 2023 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's largest olive oil quality contest.
This has been a phenomenal year in winning awards for our Francesco olive oil. Knowing we produce an international award-winning product is a very proud achievement.

The South Australian company earned a Silver Award for its Francesco Reserve brand, a medium-intensity blend.
"This has been a phenomenal year in winning awards for our Francesco olive oil," operations manager Sav Catanzariti said. "Knowing we produce an international award-winning product is a very proud achievement."
Prema Bros. produces extra virgin olive oil from mechanically harvested Barnea, Manzanillo and FS-17 (Signore) olives. Catanzariti said the 2023 harvest was a challenging one for Australia.
"The fruit in many areas experienced lower than normal olive oil yields," he said. "We endured challenging weather conditions, which had impacted this year’s 2023 harvest."
"We faced unseasonable cold temperatures, very wet weather which resulted in a shorter growing period of the fruit, which therefore delayed ripening of the olives and delayed harvest," he added.
