Aoron Brand Awarded for Magnificent Megaritiki
Greek producer Pangaio Manufaktur has won a Gold Award at the 2021 NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, the world's most prestigious olive oil quality contest.
We are honored and proud to receive such recognition already in our first year of production. This award greatly motivates us for the coming season.

In the 2020/21 crop year, the company produced 1,000 liters of extra virgin olive oil in Thassos using traditional methods. Pangaio Manufaktur earned the Gold Award for its Aoron brand, a medium Megaritiki.
"We are honored and proud to receive such recognition already in our first year of production," owners Beate and Michail Samaras said. "We're extremely thankful to our early customers and supporters who have encouraged us. This award greatly motivates us for the coming season."
The award is especially gratifying for the producers behind the Aoron brand after their challenging efforts to become more sustainable in the past year.
"Being a small artisan family producer, transitioning our olive grove to regenerative farming in such a hot and dry year was a great challenge," the pair said.
The NYIOOC World Olive Oil Competition, held each spring in New York, is the world's largest and most prestigious olive oil contest. Its annual listing of award winners is considered the authoritative guide to the year’s best extra virgin olive oils.
